Part of the proceeds from the event went to the Butte-Silver Bow Developmental Disabilities Council, a group that provides support for disabled people living independently. Schnabel, who opened the brewery in Butte in 2007, said he wanted to start a "brew festival" in Butte that would feature beer from microbreweries from Montana and the Pacific Northwest.
